This last card is the simplest of all and uses the other style window, I love the country-style shutters! I wanted mine white, but I can imagine coloring them red for a Christmas look. There is also a sub sentiment that reads: “You are always welcome.

The main sentiment on this card reads: “Hello, Beautiful”, the “Hello” part was stamped directly onto the flower box using a part of another sentiment stamp from the kit. I feel like this stamp was intended as snow, but I loved using it to add texture to the wall behind the window. I also used the scattered dots stamp from the stamp set to add black markings over the black and white striped paper. I cut the main part 3 times and stacked it for dimension. For the card below I also die-cut the word “beautiful” using the die included in my kit, it is beautiful indeed. I used mostly the same papers for these cards (I actually used just 2 sheets from my kit). I wanted to try and create different size cards, so I made one into a mini slimline (above) and two more into A2 – a portrait and a landscape. Lastly, to color the plants in the flower boxes I used YG01, YG03, and a hint of YG17 for the grass and leaves and RV00, RV11, and RV34 to color the flowers pink. I re-created this look by using B000 and B00 markers. I love how when you look into the window from the outside, it reflects the sky, making the glass portion of the window blue. I also shaded the flower boxes a bit using W5, W3, and W1 markers, again, keeping them white. I wanted to have white windows, so I kept the window frames white and only added some subtle shading using the W1 marker. Next, I colored images with the help of Copic markers. I stamped the windows using Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Neenah Solar White 80lb cardstock, I used my mini MISTI tool for ease of stamping. I think they would even work for winter and Christmas cards, with a bit of tweaking, of course.

I know I’ll be using these window stamps a lot for my cards. The kit doesn’t include the coordinating dies, but they are available separately and I think they are one of those must-have coordinating dies, at least for me. My favorite part of this kit is, of course, the new stamp set.
